My passion for space exploration led me to the company most likely to push the envelope: SpaceX. I was privileged to work on dozens of pieces of test equipment for the components group before moving into the automation group, where I was the architect of a fully automated valve testing platform.

As my first project, I set up the Propulsion Research and Development lab, a facility that allowed the rapid qualification of spaceflight components. This included building out facility gas systems, as well as building dozens of pieces of test equipment.

I designed and built a system for the testing of the entire hydraulic system for the grid fin control actuators.

This helped with qualifying the control systems that allowed us to recover Falcon 9 boosters.

Later on, I moved into developing automated test equipment. This system was designed to automatically qualify valves for the Falcon booster.

I took particular pride in the quality and maintainability of the systems that I designed.
